Looking forward to the new start

In a few days, thousands of people will begin another cycle of considering the question: what do I want from my life? It’s an amazing time, seeing people begin the adventure of a lifetime.

Sadly, many more thousands who had the chance to join them chose to sit and watch from the sidelines.

This will be my third year taking the course (the guides do the same things – and more – that the members do), and I look back over what I’ve accomplished since I began this time in 2014: two books published, a trip to Hawaii, the changes in my relationships and family, and I have to say that I’m looking forward to what this year will bring as far as deepening my understanding of my own power in manifesting what I want for myself and my world. It’s been challenging. But worth it.

For those of you moving forward with us, congratulations! In a few weeks, I’ll get to see who I’m going to be personally helping. I’ve had a great time mentoring my intern guide as he learns to guide others through the process.

Right now, I’m getting ready to go sell books in Dallas. Have a great weekend!

Ever wondered why the “self-help” stuff hasn’t worked for you?

People are hungry for answers. They spend billions of dollars on “self-help” books and courses. Yet their lives don’t change.
There are a lot of reasons why, and in a minute I’m going to give you the link to a video which gives you the biggest reason. But at the root of it all is a much deeper problem.
Wherever I go, people ask me questions like “how did you create your novel series?” and “where did you get the ideas for your books?” Or “how did you have the courage (or the money) to travel to Hawaii for three weeks by yourself?”
They’re good questions. But you have to take a step back. The real question they’re asking is, “How did you get the confidence to trust that you already CAN do it? That you already HAVE the ideas?”
All the books and courses in the world won’t help the main problem: you don’t believe in you. Until you can break through the programming the world has put on you which keeps you stuck in the idea that you can’t do it, you’ll stay stuck. It’s really difficult, almost impossible to break free of this on your own. I’m sure you understand that – you’ve been trying for a long time now.
But you CAN do it, with a little guidance and a lot of work on your part. Once you do that, though, ANYTHING is possible!

These are the videos I watched in 2014 that started me on my path. They are totally free. You’re not going to end up being pitched for some $3000 course.

(in fact, there is a course, but you CAN NOT buy it, and I would not endorse it if you could – your spot in the course has been paid for already by the previous class)

Once you get to the biggest reason why “self-help” doesn’t work, you will be blown away. You’ll finally understand what the problem has been, and be on track to fixing it. So I invite you to take a look and see what you think. You might like it! 🙂

What do we manifest?

I guess I’ve been thinking a lot about what we manifest, and what we don’t.

The last few weeks have been pretty hectic – getting my book ready for the proofreader, going on a two week vacation in California which turned into a lot of driving around in a rental to deal with my daughter’s car (which we drove there) breaking down, then trying to catch up with all the things neglected by being gone two weeks. You know how it can go.

I wasn’t 100% sure I wanted to go on the trip in the first place. I had a lot to do. My husband didn’t want me to go (he never did say why). But I thought it would be a nice way to get away, relax, go to the beach, and see family. I did do those things, but the trip turned out to be way more stressful than I anticipated.

Through most of the things which went wrong in California, I kept thinking, did I manifest this? Or is this stuff my daughter is manifesting? Because I honestly didn’t know. It was a very strange, beautiful, interesting trip. And unfortunately, quite expensive for all of us.

I’m not sure there’s any way to know. It could be that what happened was a combination of a lot of unexamined thoughts floating around in our heads. Or it could have been just random.

The good thing is that I felt a lot better about what happened than I ever would have a few years ago! I would have been some sort of nervous wreck the whole time. But I took all my driving around by myself while everyone else was at the beach as a chance for some silence and to serve my family. So I guess it turned out okay. 🙂

The things you seek are seeking you!

The past few weeks have been very interesting. I’ve gotten a lot done. But the one thing which has jumped out at me is the demonstration of this passage in the Master Keys:

Abundance will not come to you out of the sky, neither will it drop into your lap, but a conscious realization of the law of attraction and the intention to bring it into operation of a certain, definite and specific purpose, and the will to carry out this purpose will bring about the materialization of your desire by a natural law of transference. If you are in business, it will increase and develop along regular channels, possibly new or unusual channels of distribution will be opened and when the law becomes fully operative, you will find that the things you seek are seeking you.

Here’s how it went: I’m writing a book, the sequel to the novel I published back in November. It’s almost done; I’m going to release it October 1st. So I’ve been spending some time promoting the first one. Well, I’ve had new and unusual (to me) channels of distribution (or to be more precise, marketing) open up to me. And for the first time, I’ve had people begin coming to ME asking if they might promote my book.

Mind blowing!

I hope your summer (or winter) is going well. I’m looking forward to the new Master Key Experience starting in September. It’s been really cool to see how much my three friends (and those who finished the course in my tribe) have had their lives change. I can’t wait to see what happens over the next year. 😀

What is your endgame?

Where do you want to end up? Have you even thought about it? I’m not talking about “do you want to go to heaven?” – I’m talking about your endgame.endgame

In most adventures (and the Hero’s Journey, if anything, is an adventure) at least one person has an endgame. Save the princess, get the magic ring – or if you’re the villain, take over the world (or something similar). They’ve thought the matter through. They know where they’re going, what they want to do, what they want to achieve.

Some studies indicate that men have an increased chance of death just after they retire. I wonder if these men considered retirement their endgame so fervently that when they did retire, they didn’t know what to do next. Perhaps for them, retirement was all they needed; they felt ready to go. Or perhaps they felt the loss of identity and prestige from not working was too much to bear. I’m not sure.

(my husband retired this week, so maybe this is why I’ve been thinking about this)

A big part of the Master Key Experience revolves around a simple question: What do you want?

The tendency is to think too small: I want a new car in 2016, I want to take the kids to Disneyland in 2017. Not that these things are bad, but the real question is: what do you want to do with your life? What is really important to you? Why are you even here?

If your only reason for existence is to get a new car or go to Disneyland, then fine. But where do you want to end up? We’re all going to die someday. Where do you want to live, right before then? How do you want to spend your time? What do you want to accomplish, so you don’t look back on your life with regret?

You can figure out your endgame, and once you do, it makes the rest of your life so much easier, because then you know where you’re going! Figuring this out is not actually that difficult, if you have someone to guide you through it. The only person who makes figuring your life out difficult is you.

My endgame is right here.

The Master Key Experience comes once a year, in September. This course helps you work through these questions, and more. If you’d like more information about it you can go here, or fill out the form below.

Looking back

Looking back at my second year with the Master Key Experience, I’d have to say it’s been pretty amazing. This time last year I was on my way to completing something I never thought I would even try – and it worked out great! Since then, I’ve:12841274_234206800257983_4398829372072310848_o

  • traveled to Hawaii (Kauai, Oahu, and the Big Island)
  • became a Certified Guide for the Master Key Experience
  • did the Small Product Lab (and made something cool)
  • made my first ever book trailer
  • did my first Indiegogo
  • published a novel (the Kindle version has broken the top 1000 in its categories on Amazon several times now)
  • written the second in the series (I’m revising it at present)
  • decided to quit selling Avon (it’s just not what I want to spend my time doing)
  • went to Wizard World New Orleans to sell my book (wow! That con was huge!)
  • did my first ever webinar (to sell my edible landscaping course, which is opening up again in a few weeks)

I think I did okay. 🙂

How are things with you?

Week 22: if you want something done …

I had forgotten which week the Silence was, but when Mark J said this was the week I got right on it – booked a hotel room, and went quiet from Monday afternoon to just a bit ago today. It was good.

But while I was keeping quiet, I thought of all the things which have been going on lately in my life. As it turns out, I’ve met another goal on my DMP, although not exactly the way I had planned to: I wanted a certain amount of money by a certain date, but while I thought I had specified where this was coming from, subby interpreted what I wrote in an equally legitimate way! And the money arrived. 🙂

Now I feel, though, as if it’s time to get serious.

Check out this Google search:

(I find that last one amusing)

But really, when it boils down to it, the best way to get something done is to have subby do it.

Last week, I was thinking “the floor needs scrubbing” – and I go out not ten minutes later and my son is working on it. He got the idea and motivation to do it and he gets up and down a lot easier than I do, and so it was done.

(as it turned out he only did part of it but the whole process amazed me)

It puts a new twist on the whole matter of doing things, because sometimes we stress and strain yet we might not even be the right person to do the job. We don’t know. But subby does know, and if we will just say what we want with enough precision, using emotion and enthusiasm, it will use the proper people and methods to get the job done. We just have to get all the voices out telling us we can’t do it out of the way.

Week 3: refusing the call

Being a Master Key Experience guide gives me a unique perspective on the course. Not only am I doing the course again with the members (and getting new insights on my own) but I’m watching fifteen people make – or not make – their own Hero journeys.

Every hero refuses the call at first. That refusal can be anything:

  • procrastination to the point where they miss the application deadline (about 400 people did that),
  • confusion to the point where they don’t do any of the work and are eventually asked to leave,
  • defensiveness: refusal to get help when they clearly need it or arguing when they do get some,
  • manifesting obstacles,
  • all the way to downright saying “I’m out”.

These are people who are simply being asked to answer the question: what do you want?

As far as I know no one has been actually asked to leave yet in the over 600 people enrolled, but I’m sure there will be some fireworks to come. 🙂

What is refusing the call about? Fear.

It’s interesting that Haanel spends most of part 3 talking about fear, since so much of it is coming out right about now. The solution for it is expressed best in the week 3 study questions:

How may fear be completely eliminated?

By an understanding and recognition of the true source of all power.

I feel like these first few weeks are the most difficult of the course … like weeks 2-6. In week 1, you’re all pumped up, ready for anything. Then it sort of stops being so exciting and fun and begins to feel like work. Lots of stuff to do but maybe not so much happening yet. I remember those days very well.

But then once you accept the call, step across into the unknown, you begin to ‘get it’ – the light bulb turns on, you start seeing what this is really all about and it becomes much easier.

Some people are beginning to get it even now: the realization that YOU can change your life, that YOU have power, not because “you’re being your own god” as some ignorant person put on Facebook, but because God/The Universe/whatever is IN YOU, is directly connected to your subconscious mind, and you have the ability to communicate directly to that Power.

Every religious figure and most philosophers have said this over the past 6000 years, but people still want to cling to the old blueprint that tells them some authority figure or organization or society needs to tell them what to do and think in order to be okay instead of relying on the power within them like their own religious books tell them to do. It would be funny if it weren’t so sad.

But I’m seeing some amazing breakthroughs as people do the work and really wrestle with these questions on their own. It’s truly exciting to see what can happen when you stop refusing the call.

Week 1: and round we go

I’ve been thinking of how much things have changed since I began this journey a year ago. I look back at my old posts during this week last year, read (as I do every morning) my signed Blueprint Builder, dated on this date last year, and I’m amazed.

Then today I got a list of the people who will be in my tribe as a Guide, and I see how though each has his or her own journey and issues and ways they will (or won’t – hopefully they will all make it but it’s up to each of them) change their lives, and I feel very humbled at the opportunity to be of service, in whatever way I can.

It’s an exciting, scary time, to start on a new adventure. I’m glad you’re here along for the ride.

Master Key Experience sold out again!

If you were one of the 400+ people who just didn’t get their application done/submitted in time, I’m sorry. There was a limited amount of space. Those on my email list got notified before everyone else.

If you’re on the list, congratulations! This is going to be a really fun year. I’m looking forward to it!

If you’re just finding out about this, I hope you’ll consider signing up to be notified when next year’s Master Key Experience/MKMMA starts up in September 2016.

I’m really looking forward to seeing all the wonderful change the 2015 class makes in their lives. If you’d like to see the list of those who are taking the course this year, just go to http://www.mkmmapifscholarship.com
