We’re finished … so now what?

With the MKMMA class over, the question that you might be asking is: now what?

Mark and Davene wrote us an email a few weeks ago saying that a lot of people were anxious about what would happen next, but I have never felt that way (which surprised me!). I mean, this whole thing is supposed to be about SELF-directed learning and SELF-reliance and thinking for yourSELF.

So I figured once we were done, we were done.

But one thing I’ve wanted to do since about halfway through this course is to be an MKMMA certified guide, and the silence just confirmed that for me. I have several reasons I want to do this which I may share another time, but they keep saying they need more guides, so why would I not help? 😉

There’s going to be a presentation I think next week sometime to tell those of us who want to do that what is entailed in the training.

So what’s going to happen to this blog now? That’s what I wanted to talk about today.

I ran across something called My 500 Words, which is supposed to help you get writing.

Hint: I have no problem with that 😉

Anyway, you write 500 words a day on whatever you want.

This seems like a good thing to do on this blog, as I’m learning new stuff every day even though the course is officially done. We still have the Master Keys, I’m not nearly done with The Greatest Salesman, and so on.

For example, today I read the forward to the Master Key book again, and several things jumped out at me:

Why should some men realize their ambitions easily, others with difficulty, and still other not at all? The cause cannot be physical, else the most perfect men physically, would be the most successful. The difference, therefore, must be mental — must be in the mind …

The student who learns that power comes from within, that he is weak only because he has depended on help from outside, and who unhesitatingly throws himself on his own through, instantly rights himself, stands, erect, assumes a dominant attitude, and works miracles … (emphasis mine)

Mind is not only the creator, but the only creator of all there is …

Every thought brings into action certain physical tissue, part of the brain, nerve or muscle. This produces an actual physical change in the construction of the tissue. Therefore it is only necessary to have a certain number of thoughts on a given subject in order to bring about a complete change in the physical organization of a man.

… as these thoughts take root, the physical tissue is changed … (emphasis mine)

He sees opportunities of success to which he was heretofore blind. He recognizes possibilities which before had no meaning for him.

I believe that this is becoming the case in my life, and I may share more about that some other time.

So I’m not going away or anything.  I might not get to this every single day, but I’ll do my best. 🙂

See you tomorrow!

Hi, Patricia. great idea to continuing blogging! I plan on doing the same. The “500 words/day” regimen kind of what was called Subject A (AKA bonehead English) back in the day at UC Berkeley — but that was only 1X/week. 🙂

Perhaps, you can help me out a bit here. Noticing I only had two subscribers to my blog a day or two before the DC list-building contest was about to end, I figured I would make a last ditch effort to get a few. I went into the DC Alliance and subscribed to about 10 of the member’s blogs — those whose comments were most recent. You were one, and you replied that I was your first subscriber.

Granted I did keep it subtle, leaving just the name of my blogsite: VOTLISTHEMASTERKEY.COM in most cases, I did think the majority would get the hint that this was along the lines of “give more/get more.” I got nada – not a single subscriber.

I know people are busy, etc., etc., but even those coming to my site (there have been a handful), because I’m one of their “designated five” haven’t subscribed either; even though I’ve made it obvious on the front page that I’m in the process of building my list, and made it incredibly easy and trouble free (buttons everywhere, and unlike the majority where you must sign up for the 12-step program or the diet and get bombarded by deluge of auto-responder email that can be a real bother – I’m just kidding, Patti, it’s not that bad), still nothing.

So, if you have any thoughts about anything just noted, that’s the help I mentioned above. I’m thinking that Diet pop-up could be part of the problem. Even though my blog post subscriber button shows up before the Diet, perhaps folks think they are one and the same. Don’t know. I do know that the pop-up is a little annoying — especially, when it shows up every time you move from one page to another – gee I like to take advantage of your good nature, don’t I, Patti?:) (Congratulations, for your site being selected as one of the top three by the Divas, BTW!), and I do know MKMMA students probably don’t want another Diet sent their way. Is that it?

Anyway, that’s it (or may be not :)). I will be implementing other approaches, such as the excellent one you are using here – providing great value – without “any expectation of reciprocity” (I am, after all, already a subscriber) just for the spirit of oneness and love of it all. 

Hi, Craig (or is it Loren?) —

I have been so busy getting multiple businesses ready for me to go out of town for three weeks (aka Hawaii) that I haven’t had a chance to visit your blog, and I apologize. My feeling on why this has basically no subscribers is that at least I haven’t attracted my tribe yet.

Do the Divas really like my blog? Or are you pulling my leg? LOL

I’m glad you like it, and thanks for your generosity 🙂
